This air fryer ribs recipe delivers juicy, crispy, fall-off-the-bone pork ribs in under 30 minutes. It’s the easiest way to enjoy BBQ-style ribs indoors with minimal mess and max flavor.

- 1 rack baby back ribs (or spare ribs, trimmed to fit)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1/4 cup BBQ sauce for glazing
Instructions
- Remove the silver membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice blend generously over all sides of the ribs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
- Place the ribs in the air fryer basket in a single layer (cut to fit if necessary).
- Cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Optional: Brush with BBQ sauce during the last 3–5 minutes and increase temp to 400°F for caramelization.
- Let ribs rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, wrap ribs in foil for the first 10 minutes, then finish uncovered.
- Country-style ribs may need up to 35 minutes due to thickness.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.
