This air fryer ribs recipe delivers juicy, crispy, fall-off-the-bone pork ribs in under 30 minutes. It’s the easiest way to enjoy BBQ-style ribs indoors with minimal mess and max flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 rack baby back ribs (or spare ribs, trimmed to fit)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 cup BBQ sauce for glazing

Instructions

  1. Remove the silver membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the spice blend generously over all sides of the ribs.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Place the ribs in the air fryer basket in a single layer (cut to fit if necessary).
  6. Cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Optional: Brush with BBQ sauce during the last 3–5 minutes and increase temp to 400°F for caramelization.
  8. Let ribs rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra tenderness, wrap ribs in foil for the first 10 minutes, then finish uncovered.
  • Country-style ribs may need up to 35 minutes due to thickness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.
