- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp lemon zest (optional)
- Optional: dipping sauces (spicy mayo, garlic aioli, lemon dill), lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and cut into 1-inch cubes for even cooking.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Arrange salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Air fry at 400°F for 7–9 minutes, flipping or shaking the basket halfway through.
- Check for doneness — internal temp should be 125–130°F for medium doneness.
- Remove, rest for 1–2 minutes, and serve with your favorite sauce or over a power bowl, tacos, or salad.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add ½ tsp cayenne or use Cajun seasoning.
- To cook from frozen: Add 3 extra minutes and ensure bites are spaced apart.
- For extra crispiness, spray lightly with oil halfway through cooking.
