These air fryer salmon bites are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Perfect for quick dinners, healthy meal prep, or a protein-packed snack, they’re ready in under 20 minutes and pair beautifully with your favorite sauces or sides.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp lemon zest (optional)
  • Optional: dipping sauces (spicy mayo, garlic aioli, lemon dill), lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and cut into 1-inch cubes for even cooking.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Arrange salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
  • Air fry at 400°F for 7–9 minutes, flipping or shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check for doneness — internal temp should be 125–130°F for medium doneness.
  • Remove, rest for 1–2 minutes, and serve with your favorite sauce or over a power bowl, tacos, or salad.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add ½ tsp cayenne or use Cajun seasoning.
  • To cook from frozen: Add 3 extra minutes and ensure bites are spaced apart.
  • For extra crispiness, spray lightly with oil halfway through cooking.
  • Pairs perfectly with rice, roasted veggies, or a creamy dipping sauce.
