This quick and flavorful chicken cabbage stir-fry is a healthy weeknight dinner made with tender chicken, crisp cabbage, garlic, and soy sauce—all ready in just 25 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced chicken and stir-fry until fully cooked and lightly browned (5–6 minutes).
  4. Toss in shredded cabbage and soy sauce. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until cabbage is tender-crisp.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

You can use Napa cabbage or red cabbage for a twist.

For extra heat, add chili flakes or a splash of sriracha.

This dish pairs well with steamed rice or cauliflower rice for a low-carb version.

Make it gluten-free by using tamari instead of soy sauce.
