Description

These no-bake Chocolate Hazelnut Mascarpone Cups are an indulgent layered dessert made with creamy mascarpone, rich chocolate, and toasted hazelnuts. Perfect for holidays, parties, or a cozy treat, they’re easy to prepare and even easier to love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup crushed chocolate cookies (optional, for base)
  • 2 tbsp Nutella or hazelnut spread (optional layer)
  • Cocoa powder, for garnish (optional)
  • Shaved chocolate or curls, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine crushed cookies and chopped hazelnuts. Spoon into dessert cups to create a base. Press lightly.
  2. Optionally, add 1 tsp of Nutella over the base in each cup.
  3. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, whip heavy cream to soft peaks. Set aside.
  5. In another bowl, beat mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  6. Add cooled chocolate to mascarpone mixture and blend until uniform.
  7. Gently fold in whipped cream until light and fluffy.
  8. Spoon or pipe the mixture over the crust layer in each cup.
  9. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  10. Garnish with cocoa powder, shaved chocolate, or more hazelnuts.

Notes

  • To make it nut-free, use crispy rice or pretzels instead of hazelnuts.
  • For gluten-free, use certified GF cookies.
  • The filling can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance.
  • Avoid freezing if you prefer a silky texture, but it can be done with minor texture trade-off.
  • Great with espresso or as a make-ahead party dessert.
