- 4 cube steaks
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- ¾ cup beef broth (low sodium)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional: 2 cups sliced mushrooms, 2 carrots (sliced), 2 potatoes (cubed)
- Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season cube steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Optional but recommended: Brown steaks for 2 minutes per side in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Layer sliced onions at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Place cube steaks on top of the onions.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, brown gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth until smooth.
- Pour mixture evenly over the steaks.
- Add optional mushrooms, carrots, or potatoes on top.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until steak is fork-tender.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
