Description

This easy salmon mushroom recipe combines tender seared salmon with a creamy, garlic-infused mushroom sauce for a delicious, comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fresh salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms (button or cremini)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk (dairy-free option)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, ½ teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  • Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear salmon fillets until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  • Add mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and lemon juice. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Return salmon to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk.
  • Pair with garlic mashed potatoes or steamed asparagus for a complete meal.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
