Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or linguine)
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (or thighs), cubed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook 5–6 minutes or until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp olive oil and shrimp. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic to the pan and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in cream, stir, and bring to a simmer. Add Parmesan and mix until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken, shrimp, and pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Season to taste, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
- Swap heavy cream for Greek yogurt or half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Add spinach, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes for extra veggies.
- This recipe is also great baked with shredded mozzarella on top.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
