- 4 cube steaks
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- Cooking spray or 1 tbsp oil for browning (optional)
Instructions
- Pat cube steaks dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Lightly dredge each steak in flour.
- Optional: Brown steaks in a hot skillet with oil for 2–3 minutes per side.
- Layer sliced onions on the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place cube steaks on top of onions.
- In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire (if using). Pour over meat.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3.5–4.5 hours until steaks are fork-tender.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite sides.
