  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Cooking spray or 1 tbsp oil for browning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat cube steaks dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. Optional: Brown steaks in a hot skillet with oil for 2–3 minutes per side.
  4. Layer sliced onions on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Place cube steaks on top of onions.
  6. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire (if using). Pour over meat.

  8. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For a creamier sauce, stir in ¼ cup sour cream during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Add sliced mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat gently with extra broth or gravy to prevent drying out.
