Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz ribeye or sirloin steak
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne recommended)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the steak with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side (adjust for preferred doneness). Remove from heat and let it rest.
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
- In the skillet used for the steak, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream. Gradually add Parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water.
- Slice the rested steak into thin strips. Toss the pasta in the sauce, then add steak slices and mix gently.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, include mushrooms or spinach in the sauce.
- Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing red pepper flakes.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
