Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fresh salmon fillets (wild-caught preferred)
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Optional: sesame seeds and chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a grill/pan on medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and lime juice to create the marinade.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them. Let sit for 10-15 minutes to absorb flavors.
- Arrange salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (or prepare for grilling/pan-searing).
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, grill for 6-8 minutes per side, or pan-sear for 4-5 minutes per side, until salmon is tender and flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For a sugar-free version, substitute sweet chili sauce with a homemade sauce using honey or stevia.
- Pair with jasmine rice, roasted vegetables, or a light salad for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
