  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (or ½ tsp dried parsley)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for searing)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Bring chicken breasts to room temperature. Pat them dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter (and olive oil if using).
  3. Add chicken breasts to the skillet. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant, spooning the butter over the chicken.
  5. Turn off heat, sprinkle parsley and lemon juice over the top (if using). Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
